Chapter meetings are only open to members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. Meetings are held monthly in-person. The meeting starts promptly at 10:00 am and attire is business unless otherwise noted.

Our 2022-2026 International Program, Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood, has six initiatives.
Strengthen Our Sisterhood will serve as the administration’s “Foundation Initiative” as we strengthen our bonds to support our service mission.
The remaining five initiatives will serve as the “Program Initiatives” which include:

Enhance Our Environment
Advocate for Social Justice
Uplift Our Local Community
Our chapter supports and assists with developing collaborative relationships with various community partners to meet the needs from an educational, economic, or healthcare perspective. Sigma Iota Omega Chapter membership is comprised of a very diverse and distinguished group of 100+ college-educated women who offer their time, talents, and resources to empower and educate our community to uphold the sorority’s mission of “Service to all Mankind.”

For over 25 years, the members of the Sigma Iota Omega Chapter have been dedicated to cultivating, inspiring, and empowering others, for the advancement of Robeson and its surrounding counties. Sigma Iota Omega is committed to the implementation of service programming initiatives that positively impact those around us. Our chapter bears a welcoming spirit and dedication to service. Not only do our efforts assist within our local community, but we are also passionately engaged in impacting others globally.
